David--you've always been so helpful to me here at FH, and all your guidance in this new arena is not falling on deaf ears. As someone who uses the digital space 24/7, I completely hear where you all are coming from. We're all learning together, and i apparently needed some tutoring! Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.

Thanks for the comment, Toby. If often distinguish our team at FH Digital as cultural experts versus the traditional industry experts on our account teams. It is an exciting time in the evolution of the communication industry. PR still has great value to offer, but practitioners just need to get their heads around how things are changing. You really need to put yourself out there unlike ever before.

David - thanks for your kind words and shout out.

You were spot on when you said "digital culture." I know of no other 'marketing strategy' that is built on a "culture." If you don't understand that part of the mix, you can do the brand more harm than good. The exciting aspect this emerging industry (I do believe that social media is an industry) is we are all learning together ... no telling where we will find ourselves in 3 months, 6 months let alone in a year. Why, who woulda thought that I'd be called "esteemed" by an svp and partner of F-H? ;-)
